Programs
VRIRL believes in full transparency for our organization and causes. Donations are allocated evenly unless otherwise designated to the following four programs:
MENTAL HEALTH & GAMING ADDICTION

Gaming addiction and the serious mental health effects it contends with are a primary focus for our organization. We recognize gaming as a compelling leisure activity and powerful tool for social connection and even therapeutic practice however, for a growing number of individuals gaming is also a source of anxiety, depression and a deteriorating quality of life.
In 2022, "Gaming Disorder" was officially added to the International Classification of Diseases, ICD-11.
Research and resources are growing but still sparse, especially when compared to resources for similar activities such as gambling and substance abuse.
Our goal is to find and support inclusive and clinical resources for supporting the research and treatment of gaming addiction to help promote a culture of growth and wellness in the gaming community. Findings from this outreach steadily inform and help us to curate and develop our own programs as well.
TRAINING & PHYSICAL WELLNESS

Wellness is a holistic experience and we embody this through our work as the world's first non-profit dance company comprised entirely of virtually tele-present talent.
Following the models of prominent dance companies, we provide training and regular rehearsals for our dance company members and trainees.
This program focuses on supporting the physical health of our members and the community outreach involved in showcasing the work of our company.

Specifically, this program currently supports the following activities:

• Reimbursement for IRL classes in a physical discipline
• Assistance with injury and PT counseling
• Rehearsal stipends for Dance Captains and Company Members
• Compensation for guest instructors and consultants
• Replacement of gear/equipment damaged while performing or rehearsing
• Incentives and rewards for participation in both virtual and hybrid events
REMOTE WORKER SUPPORT FUND

This fund is designed to help support emergency causes for people who rely on income from remote work as a performer or developer in the social metaverse space.

To qualify for support from this fund, a case by case evaluation is made on need using a number of factors which may include:

Is support within our means as a small charity?
Does the individual rely primarily on income generated from remote work?
Are they currently prevented in participating/working due to their condition or emergency?
Would our assistance help to resolve the issue in an impactful way?
SUSTAINABILITY & OUTREACH

For our first year we plan on utilizing a quarter of our funds to help establish and grow our organization. This program will be reviewed annually to ensure that funds allocated for growing our organization never draw excessively from our ability to provide impactful support from our mission and programming.

Some of our base costs include:

Website and software fees
Legal and accounting fees
Support for Resident Artists
Rentals, purchases & storage for event equipment
Upfront costs of merch and donation rewards
'VR Museum' collection support
Travel assistance for outreach events
Virtual space(s) maintenance and upgrades
